'Abandon Hope All Ye Who Enter Here'

Frank Kozik's version of Inferno follows a melodramatic pig who contemplates the meaning of life after losing his love, Beatrice. Set in modern-day, what seems like New York City, pig-Dante is about to pull the trigger until an apparition starts to appear. This apparition is none other than the Grim Reaper himself (pictured below). Instead of Virgil, Grim takes him to the underworld and declares this important statement: "Behold, a greater truth lies beyond this thin veil that you call this world."

Episode 1 raises a lot of questions, however. What's with Dante being depicted as a pig? Is this a jab at the many sins plaguing humanity, that only make way for Dante's inevitable journey to hell? And what's with the smoking bunny accompanying Grim? With only the first episode available for public consumption, these questions may never get answered. But, all the more enjoyable to ponder what would come next.
